Doosan Fuel Cell Wins the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy awards for ESG Management
- Recognized for sustainable management in social, environmental, and governance arenas
Doosan Fuel Cell has won the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award in succession, for its ESG management excellence.
Doosan Fuel Cell announced on the 15th that it won the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award at the 2023 Sustainable Management Merit Awards held at FKI Tower in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul on the 14th.
The Sustainable Management Merit is a prize hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Productivity Headquarters. The prized is given to domestic companies for sustainable management and ESG based on sustainable management performance and status of environment, society, and governance practices on K-ESG guidelines.
Doosan Fuel Cell has achieved results in various fields, including ▲job creation in the region and employment of persons with disabilities, ▲corporate social contribution activities, ▲developing domestic partners and improving the localization rate, ▲establishing an ESG performance management system and ▲continuously developing eco-friendly and high-efficiency products.
Particularly, Doosan Fuel Cell takes the lead in revitalizing the hydrogen economy by supplying a total of 526.71 MW of hydrogen fuel cells, a representative green product, to Korea. It is also endeavoring to develop business areas such as low and medium temperature SOFC for power generation, SOFC for maritime applications, and green mobility.
Doosan Fuel Cell also won the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award at the 30th Corporate Innovation Awards held at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Jung-gu, Seoul on December 7th.
The Corporate Innovation Awards, co-hosted by the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, is an event where companies that have taken the lead in management innovation and ESG management practices to promote corporate innovation activities are awarded. Doosan Fuel Cell was highly recognized for ▲establishing ESG strategic tasks and setting mid- to long-term goals for each task, ▲setting ESG management systems for partners and ▲developing environmental management systems.

Doosan Fuel Cell has been incorporated into the Dow Jones Sustainable Management Index (DJSI) Korea for two consecutive years since last year. It acquired a comprehensive A grade in the Korea ESG Standards Institute (KCGS) assessment in October.
