The sustainability management reports of Doosan Corporation and Doosan FuelCell were recognized with the Grand and Gold Awards, respectively, at the esteemed '2024 LACP Spotlight Awards' held in the United States.
The 'LACP Spotlight Awards' is an annual global competition organized by the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP), a prominent international institution specializing in marketing and communications research. The awards recognize exceptional corporate reports from around the world, honoring them with Grand (Platinum), Gold, and Silver distinctions for excellence in corporate communication materials.
Doosan Corporation secured the Grand Award in the ESG Report category, excelling with perfect scores in five of the six evaluation criteria, including content organization, creativity, and communication effectiveness.
Doosan Corporation's ESG Report for this year is built upon its proprietary ESG management framework, the “3Ps” (People·Planet·Partner).
This report incorporates a double materiality assessment, which evaluates both the influence of social and environmental factors on the company’s financial performance and the broader impact of its business activities on society and the environment.
Key highlights include expanded disclosures of quantitative data from affiliated entities, enhanced consolidated reporting through enhanced cross-verification, and greater transparency in information sharing. Additionally, the report features disclosures on biodiversity impact assessments, a broader Scope 3 carbon emissions measurement across the value chain, and other initiatives. Since 2019, Doosan Corporation has been measuring and disclosing the social value of its products and services to stakeholders.
Marking a milestone, Doosan FuelCell secured the Gold Award in the CSR Report category for the first time this year.
The sustainability report of Doosan FuelCell highlights its commitment to realizing its ESG vision of becoming an “eco-friendly energy company shaping a sustainable future.” It provides an in-depth analysis of opportunities and challenges tied to the top three priorities identified through a double materiality assessment and outlines corresponding mid-to-long-term goals and strategic initiatives. It further highlights the development and application of a framework to enhance the eco-friendliness of products throughout their lifecycle, assessments of the social value contributed by hydrogen fuel cells, and progress and plans for initiatives such as the H2Dream Hydrogen Talent Development Class.
