Doosan Group Chairman Jeongwon Park, Vice Chairman Geewon Park and the members of the senior management team visited CES 2020 on Jan. 8 (local time) in Las Vegas, U.S.

He started his tour at the Doosan booth, which was located in the South Hall of the Convention Center and went on to the Central and North halls to look over exhibitions by other global companies. The Chairman was especially focused on the new trends in emerging technologies such as AI, drones, 5G, collaborative robots, IoT and mobility solutions as they are closely connected with Doosan’s existing businesses.

After the tour, the Chairman said to the business leaders who accompanied him, “We should lead technological development in our areas of business and that requires us to have a constant effort of thinking and action-taking. Let’s work together to realize the future we offered at CES.”

This is the first time for Doosan to officially participate in the CES as an exhibitor. Under the slogan of ‘contributing to making a safer and more convenient future society with our technologies’, Doosan revealed its future vision in energy, construction equipment, robots and drones.

Doosan Robotics’ collaborative robots presented a sign-spinning* performance with a DJ and a ‘Robot Barista’ made drip coffees for the visitors.
*A popular performance in North America, usually done for advertising purposes to attract the attention of people. It is also emerging as a new sports game.

Doosan also displayed its hydrogen fuel cell-powered drones, which won the ‘CES 2020 Best Innovation Award,’ and introduced Concept X, which is an unmanned automated construction solution backed by 5G communication technology, and an AR-enabled work support program through which a user can experience operating Doosan Bobcat equipment.
