Doosan Fuel Cell unveiled its plan to engage in joint development of Hwaseong Smart Energy Project in Gyeonggi Province.

Doosan Fuel Cell announced it signed an MOU for joint development of Hwaseong Smart Energy Project with Hwaseong city government, Hwaseong City Corporation, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, and other relative stakeholders on May 6that Hwaseong City Hall.

This agreement was designed to build smart energy town driven by the Moon administration’s Digital/Green New Deal Policy.
Below are offerings of the agreement.
▲Stable supply of clean energy, including fuel cells to the city.
▲Smart farm pilot project, leveraging thermal energy generated by fuel cells.
▲City gas(LNG) energy infrastructure interconnected with fuel cells in areas where citizens still lack access to energy.
▲Micro-scale solar panels and EV charging stations, using power plant management facilities and/or parking lots.
▲Optimization of Cloud/AI base remote energy management and VPP* implementation, taking advantage of big data and AI.
▲Creation of Citizens Funds for profit sharing.
*VPP refers to Virtual Power Plant which means a system operated as a single power plant computed by Cloud base AI software against distributed power generation by small-scale renewables, such as fuel cells and solar power.
